Mr. Potashner joined Jaffe & Asher in 1999 and became a member of the firm in 2000. He received his law degree from Boston University School of Law, cum laude (1990), and his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University, (1987).
Mr. Potashner is a commercial litigator with a broad range of experience and knowledge. His practice areas include insurance coverage and bad faith, member and shareholder disputes, and general commercial litigation. In additional to extensive litigation and arbitration experience, he has successfully avoided litigation in numerous matters through pre-litigation mediation and resolution. He is a member of the New York and Massachusetts bars, and is duly admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Eastern, Western and Northern Districts of New York. He has argued numerous appeals in the New York Appellate Divisions and the Second Circuit. He has more than 100 reported decisions.
Mr. Potashner represents and counsels corporate clients including many prominent public corporations in various commercial matters.
