Mr. Berger joined Jaffe & Asher in 1999. He received his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1984 and his undergraduate degree from Skidmore College in 1979. Mr. Berger is a member of the bar of the State of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeal for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of New York.
Mr. Berger has extensive experience in commercial litigation, specializing in bankruptcy law, in representing a wide range of secured and unsecured creditors and debtors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 cases. He manages the firm’s nationwide bankruptcy practice on behalf of major commercial institutions, and has served on official creditors' committees in large reorganization cases. Mr. Berger has delivered seminars to the bar and to financial institutions on bankruptcy matters, chairing the Westchester County section of the 2005 and 2007 New York State Continuing Legal Education presentations of “Collections and the Enforcement of Money Judgments.”
