They will cover strategies to defend counterclaims asserted in collection actions, and reach dispositions which avoid undue risk and cost for the creditor. Topics will include: analyzing the counterclaim to identify those with potentially high risks, litigation strategies to dispose of meritless claims, discovery and trial preparation issues associated with commonly asserted counterclaims, and making sure your client's goals match your counterclaim strategy.
